Composition

COMPOSITION

symmetrical

Once you have learned the functions of the camera, it is time to focus on composition. Composition looks at the design of the image. It is up to the photographer to decide the subject, lighting, movement and balance of the image. The image to the left is an example of a symmetrical composition.

REPETITION

Another aspect of composition is repetition. To the right the repeating pattern of the chairs leads us through the image.

RULE OF THIRDS

To the right is an example of Rule of Thirds. This image is also an example of an A-Symmetrical image. It is worth noting that the subject does not always need to be on the crosshairs.

In the video below I will cover more aspects of composition.
