Nevaeh’s Beauty of Life Series

The work I present is a reflection of my life and the world around me. A splash of color here or a gray tone there, helps express the many emotions that I experience day to day. In most of my pieces I play with the contrast that holds a sense of moodiness within the overall joy it brings me. I enjoy the vibrant and bold use of color that dances throughout nature or the shadows that make the image softer in a building full of artistic features. No matter what I
choose to capture, I play with how the image makes me feel and the idea that it could potentially be up for interpretation.

I wish for my audience to feel the emotions and piece together what the
image may mean to them, as art is subjective. When I piece this artistic story together, I want people to stop and think about the beauty
we so often forget. Life keeps moving and we don’t always “listen to the hush between the stars”. I want people to take a look through my lens and see what small things I appreciate in life. Whether that be within nature, a portrait, animals, or even something as simple as a busy street at night. Big or small, life is full of unappreciated things. However, when you stop and take a minute, you can let your emotions run freely and see life through a different perspective.
